A Place for Experiential Learning
At Suncity School, we believe in hands-on learning through experimentation. With similar aspirations, the school has set up four science laboratories that help in exploring concepts.
The Physics Lab features a dedicated darkroom for conducting wave optics experiments, while the Chemistry Lab is equipped with advanced safety features, including a fume hood for effective ventilation and a sand bath to safely handle potentially hazardous reactions.
The Biology Lab supports detailed study and controlled experimentation, complete with essential models such as a life-size skeleton.
We believe in a fuller understanding of science that also creates a positive impact in the overall life skills. Keeping that in mind, there is a home science lab which can accommodate up to 40 students at a time.
Technological Leap and Advancements
Technology is seamlessly integrated at Suncity School. As a Microsoft Showcase School, we have advanced tech labs tailored to different age groups.
The Matrix Lab is equipped with 24 Macs that cater to senior students. The Linguistic Lab with 27 computers supports language development for middle school learners. The IB Matrix Lab with 40 workstations is designed for students from Grades III to VI.
For younger learners, the TAB Lab gives exposure to a digital learning environment. It has seven tab stations and multiple iPads. Students in Grades I and II engage with age-appropriate software under expert supervision that helps in building foundational technology skills early on.
An Integrated Ecosystem of Learning
We make learning fun and child-friendly so that it can encourage active participation. Suncity School has a well-stocked and fully automated e-library. Access to the e-library actually makes it easy for parents to guide their children in identifying books they want to borrow. Additionally, there is a video screening room that screens films and documentaries related to learning.
To foster creativity in young minds, there are two singing labs, two dance labs and a lyrical lab dedicated to practising Indian Classical Instrumental Music. There is a Calisthenic lab that focuses on international dance forms such as Salsa, Hip Hop, Contemporary etc.
Student well-being and safety remains a top priority. The school houses an infirmary with necessary medical equipment, taken care of by a resident doctor and nurses. To address any security concerns, the whole school is under the surveillance of 300+ CCTV cameras.
Transport services are given on a first-come, first-served basis. To keep parents posted about the movement of the buses, all buses are fitted with GPRS. An SMS is delivered on the registered mobile numbers of the parents regarding departure and arrival times at respective stops.
