MANNER DEVELOPMENT OUTING – A REPORT

May 19, 2025

It has been famously said, “Manners maketh a man,” and never were truer words spoken. Knowing how essential manners and etiquettes are in personality development, we believe in nurturing these values from an early age. With this vision, the children of EYP 3 embarked on a ‘Manner Development Outing’ on Wednesday, 14th May 2025, to learn how to conduct themselves while dining out. Before stepping out, the children were sensitized about appropriate social behaviour so that in future they display grace, confidence and poise while eating in the company of others. They were reminded of basic Sanskaars, such as greeting others respectfully, thanking those who serve us etc.

After offering their daily prayers in class, the children excitedly boarded the bus for their destination — Bikanervala.

Upon arrival, the children demonstrated awareness of hygiene habits as they washed their hands, donned their aprons, and neatly laid out their mats before starting the meal. After a short prayer they proceeded to eat, all the while being mindful of the proper use of cutlery.

The outing concluded on a happy and fulfilling note, leaving the children with cherished memories and a deeper understanding of good manners in everyday life.

A Parent Volunteer, Ms. Sweta Sharma, accompanied the students on this outing.

Please find given below her feedback:

It was really a pleasure accompanying the kids for the outing. From briefing the kids about manners.... to teaching them everything practically... all was well explained.

Kudos to the teachers for their efforts!
