Manner Development Outing

July 17, 2025

A field trip is a visit to an area outside the regular classroom where children can try new things, gain diverse experiences and learn valuable life lessons. Such trips can take children to countless locations where they encounter new sights and enjoy hands-on learning opportunities in a wide variety of experiences.

Embracing this belief, Suncity school organized an outing to 'Bikanervala' for the students of EYP1, EYP2 and EYP3 on Tuesday, 13th May and Wednesday, 14th May 2025 respectively. The primary aim of the visit was to help children understand the importance of appropriate behaviour in public places and refine their table manners in a real-world setting.

Before embarking on the outing, children were briefed on the expected norms and basic table etiquette, such as maintaining correct posture, using cutlery properly and chewing food with their mouth closed. Teachers also emphasized the significance of greeting others warmly and exhibiting politeness towards the restaurant staff.

The little ones were filled with excitement as they set out on their first trip of the new academic session. Throughout the outing, they demonstrated a commendable understanding of proper table manners, balancing their enthusiasm with respectful behaviour. Their joy was evident as they shared a delightful meal with their peers and teachers.

The visit to ‘Bikanervala’ proved to be a valuable practical lesson in social etiquette. Children became more aware of their behaviour in public spaces and understood the importance of respecting others while dining. Overall, the visit was a successful educational experience that imparted essential life skills in a fun and engaging manner.
