As Suncity school proudly celebrates its 20th academic year, the milestone stands as a testament to two decades of academic excellence, holistic development and a steadfast commitment to nurturing young minds. To commemorate this remarkable journey, the Elementary Years Programme organized the prestigious Inter-School ‘MI-me’ Event on Thursday, 25th September 2025, celebrating Howard Gardner’s renowned theory of Multiple Intelligences.
With a vision to recognize and celebrate the diverse ways in which children learn and express themselves, the event provided a vibrant platform for students to explore their potential across various domains of intelligence.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from twelve distinguished schools of Gurgaon including the host school. The competitions offered children engaging opportunities to showcase creativity, coordination and expression.
Distinguished guests Ms. Paramjit Kaur Narang and Ms. Priyanka Behl graced the occasion, along with an esteemed panel of judges, Ms. Stuti Arora, Ms. Noreen Tung, Ms. Prema Tiwari, Ms. Shivani Kansal, Ms. Abhisikta Dey Ghosh and Ms. Richa Agrawal. As a gesture of appreciation, guests were presented with handcrafted souvenirs, saplings, mugs and a coffee table book authored by the Suncitizens.
The programme commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp Ceremony in the presence of esteemed guests, judges, Ms. Deepali Singh, Principal and Ms. Sangeeta Bagchi, Vice-Principal, Elementary Years Programme, followed by a soulful prayer and a captivating dance performance by the students of Suncity school, Sector-54. Children from the NGO ‘Sugam’ also performed, receiving heartfelt applause.
‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day was an exclusive category where one child from EYP2 (Lower Kindergarten), EYP3 (Upper Kindergarten), Grade I and Grade II from each school participated in all the competitions for that particular grade. The children performed with great enthusiasm and made their schools proud by bringing laurels.
The following students from Suncity school brought laurels to the school:
• Meher Kaushik won the ‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day from EYP2 (LKG).
• Krisha Bagla won the ‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day from EYP3 (UKG).
• Aayra Chaku stood as the ‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day from Grade I.
• Aneeka Arya stood as the ‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day from Grade II.
• Avyaan Kher of EYP1 (Nursery) stood at the 1st position in the Visual-Spatial, Logical and Naturalistic, Competition, 'Stamp-a-Palooza'.
• Antalya Garg of EYP1 (Nursery) stood at the 1st position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, 'Little Feet, Big Treat'.
• Noor Gupta of EYP1 (Nursery) won the 1st position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, 'Celebration of Rhythm, Rhyme and Radiance’.
• Asyaa Dudeja of EYP2 (LKG) stood at the 1st position in the Visual-Spatial, Logical and Naturalistic, 'Jungle Jamboree'.
• Yuvaan Sharma of EYP2 (LKG) stood at the 1st position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, '20-Year Milestone Race’.
• Mahanya Singh Rajpurohit of EYP2 (LKG) stood at the 1st position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, 'A Jamboree of Memories'.
• Saanvi Sureka of EYP3 (UKG) stood at the 1st position in the Visual-Spatial, Logical and Naturalistic, 'The Straw Studio'.
• Grisha Kaushik of EYP3 (UKG) stood at the 1st position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, 'Celebrating Festivals Globally'.
• Vihaan Nayyar of EYP3 (UKG) stood at the 1st position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, 'Cake Paddle Race'.
• Parth Sureka of Grade I came 2nd in the Visual-Spatial & Naturalistic Competition, 'The Undersea Art Bash'.
• Yuven Kapoor of Grade I stood at the 1st position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, ‘Party Prep Adventure’.
• Ruhaan Bharat Bhushan of Grade I stood at the 2nd position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, ‘हर हुनर को सलाम’.
• Reyansh Jain of Grade II came 1st in the Visual-Spatial & Naturalistic Competition, ‘The Creative Jamboree'.
• Karan Ambawata of Grade II stood at the 1st position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, ‘Festive Fun Run’.
• Poorvi Chanana of Grade II stood at the 1st position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, 'I Am the Change'.
The winners were felicitated by Ms. Deepali Singh, Principal, along with the esteemed guests, judges and Ms. Sangeeta Bagchi, Vice-Principal (Elementary Years Programme). The event concluded with a heartfelt Note of Gratitude and the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, leaving the children with a valuable and enriching learning experience.
